If you’re looking for an additional band for any of your events please contact us. AscensionV band is a Christian rock band from Warrenton, VA. We’ve played at “First Friday” Warrenton, many outdoor rallies, etc.

We’re willing to donate our time for your events.

Our new CD was just released on I-Tunes – https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/ascension/id617243364

    Thanks,,,, Jim Nida

    HI,
I was told that crafters set up at the river fest. I was wondering if this was true and if so, how would I go about setting up?
    Thank you,
    Michelle

    • shenandoahriverfest says:

Hi Michelle – Yes, look at the vendor page at the bottom there is an application. I’ll also send you an email with it atached!
      Thanks!

  • Barbara says:

What are the details of the canoe trip please?

    • shenandoahriverfest says:

The canoe trips will run starting at 10:00 am with the last trip going out at 3:00 pm. The canoes will be $5/canoe. Minimum age with adult is 6 years old and up all boaters must wear shoes or sandals, no flip-flops please. Sign-ups will be in Shelter 1 and there will be a shuttle to take you to the put-in. Take out will be at the canoe launch back at Shelter 1. The trip will take about 30 minutes.

We will be testing out the route next week and I will post an up date about conditions etc.

Thank you and we are looking forward to seeing you!

Just found out about this. Can’t come this year but will look for it next year. If it does not coincide with my daughters 5th bday party next year we will try to come.

  • Ed Grainger says:

Can you bring your own kayak or canoe?

  • Ama says:

What time will the WILD Zafari presentation be?

    Thanks, Ama

I see that there will be food vendors on site. Will we be able to bring in our own food in coolers? Any restrictions (e.g., no glass)?

  • Troy says:

We were planning to come to river feast and we thought that you just provided shuffle service for the five dollars per Conroe but I guess you must use your boats. Still like to come wondering if anyone else provides shuttle service.

    • shenandoahriverfest says:

Hi Troy – unfortunately, we had to stop shuttling private boats because of the popularity of the canoe trips. You are welcome to bring your boat and put in at the canoe launch in the day use area. I think you would be able to paddle up river and back down without much difficulty then you would not need a shuttle. The other option is check with Downriver Canoe and see if they can help accommodate you 800-338-1963.

      Hope to see you Saturday!

      • Troy says:

How long of a float is it? Do you still have canoes to rent?

        • shenandoahriverfest says:

          Hello!

The canoes are on a first come first serve basis. We have 40 canoes that we will put out as many times as possible. The float is about 2 miles long and takes about an hour — depending on how much you paddle and we do encourage folks to paddle so that we can get as many out on the river as possible. Sign-up for the canoes will be by Shelter 1 and we will run trips beginning at 10:00 am and the last trip out will be at 3:00 pm.

Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday!

  • Randi says:

Riverfest was a blast! I’m so happy the weather held out. I’m already planning next year’s cardboard boat.

The ONLY downside was the shuttle service. What happened to the second bus?! Apparently it got sent home early and all they left was the short bus– what a disaster.

    • shenandoahriverfest says:

Randi – Thank you for letting me know this! I didn’t realize that happened with the shuttle buses. We will definitely discuss in our wrap up meeting. So glad you enjoyed Riverfest and will be back next year!

      Best,
      Jennifer

  • Sally Anne Manich says:

Would it be possible to get information on the cost for craft venders and an application? We are in Woodstock, Virginia and would love to participate in the festival.

    • shenandoahriverfest says:

Hello! the fee this year is $35 for 12′ x 12′ space. We should have all our forms out later this week. I’ll add you to my email list!
      Thank you!
